- Virtual and In-School Evaluation
- Curriculum-based academic placement assessments
ABA Therapy and Consultation
ABAeCARE delivers evidence-based ABA services and treatment through in-person centers, in home, in school or virtually by telehealth. Whether you access our services at a center or in your living room, you can expect a level of unparalleled care from our highly qualified team of professionals, behavior analysts and special educators. Through ABAeCARE, you can access expertise no matter where you live.
Thirty years of research demonstrated the efficacy of applied behavioral methods in reducing inappropriate behavior and in increasing communication, learning and appropriate social behavior.
What to expect from ABA Therapy:
ABA therapy begins with an evaluation of your child’s needs and the development of an individualized treatment plan. Next, an ABAeCare therapist under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will provide one-to-one ABA therapy that develops foundational skills, such as language, social, self-care, community and academic skills. Sessions may also include parent and caregiver training. Our program is adaptable to our clients’ needs and can be provided in a variety of settings such as our centers and schools, in the clients’ home and schools, in the community and virtually via telehealth. School consultations with teachers can also help address difficulties in the educational environment. We have contacts with many school districts to provide services in the school or in our schools.
If you are interested in telehealth services, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will determine whether your child would benefit from receiving direct therapy via telehealth from a Registered Behavior Technician(s). If direct therapy services via telehealth is appropriate for your child, the RBT will conduct sessions as if they were in-person, as much as possible. The RBT will provide your child with learning opportunities such as labeling picture cards (the RBT can show the picture to the camera) and engaging in social interactions. The RBT will collect data on your child’s responses to skill acquisition programs and will track any problem behaviors.
You or another caregiver may be asked to participate to ensure that your child is visible throughout the session. The RBT may also ask the caregivers or a sibling to assist with tasks so that the session can be implemented more effectively. For example, the RBT may ask a sibling to retrieve a toy to incorporate into the session.
How do ABA telehealth services work?
We can provide ABA telehealth services in a variety of ways:
- In-person Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) direct services and telehealth Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) clinical direction. For example, an RBT may work with your child in person, and the BCBA would provide supervision virtually. This is helpful if there is an RBT in your area but not a BCBA.
- Both telehealth direct services and telehealth BCBA clinical direction. For example, you and your child would work with both the RBT and BCBA virtually. This is helpful if you prefer to use virtual rather than in-person services due to personal or external circumstances (i.e., during COVID-19).
- Parent/caregiver-implemented services under the direction of a BCBA. For example, we can provide virtual training so that you can implement ABA therapies under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
- Parent/caregiver training and consultation. For example, we can use virtual consultations to train you (or another caregiver, such as your babysitter) to work with your child.
Social Skills Groups
ABAeCARE provides in-person and virtual social skills groups for communicators of all ages. These programs are designed to address key skills and areas of social development. They also give children the opportunity to make friends in a safe and supportive environment. Each of our group sessions teaches skills in a fun and engaging group atmosphere. All of our programs are conducted by a highly qualified Board Certified Behavior Analyst who consistently monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of the program for each of our group members. Families receive a summary of progress at the end of each 8-week cycle. Contact our intake specialists to learn more about our Social Skills Groups.
All children can learn with the right instructional approach. Children with special needs may learn differently from typically developing children. However, with the right motivation and instructional methods, they can make significant gains. Based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis, ABAeCare’s special education team can provide evidence-based instruction virtually and in-person to help your child progress in reading, math, writing and language arts. The teachers will assess your child’s academic skills, develop a plan and deliver specialized instruction to help your child gain critical skills in all areas of academics.
Our outstanding team is here to help you and your family.
