Changing Lives Through Compassionate Care
ABAeCARE’s mission is to enrich the lives of individuals with autism or other unique behavioral and learning needs through the science of Applied Behavior Analysis.
We believe everyone deserves access to compassionate, evidence-based ABA therapies, evaluations and assessments and special education — wherever you may live. That’s why we have expanded our reach to include telehealth and home-based services alongside our existing in-person centers and academies. So now, you and your family can access these services virtually anywhere in the world. The quality of the care we provide makes all the difference.
What is ABA Therapy?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), endorsed by the U.S. Surgeon General, is a proven, scientifically-validated methodology that leads to positive behavioral change. ABA programs are effective for people with a wide range of needs, including individuals with autism, learning differences, behavioral difficulties and developmental challenges.
Our in-person centers and academies throughout the United States provide ABA therapy using an intensive, individualized approach in a welcoming environment. In certain locations, we also offer home visits. Clients work one-on-one with a highly trained ABA provider who personalizes sessions to meet the unique needs of each client and their family.
Through telehealth, we can deliver evidence-based ABA services and treatment directly to your home. All you need is an internet connection and a computer, tablet or smart phone with a camera. We work with you and your child through real-time, face-to-face interaction using secured video and audio connectivity. Our highly qualified team is trained to deliver our programs via secured virtual platforms. We deliver the same unparalleled care you’d expect from an in-person session with our highly qualified team of psychologists, behavior analysts and special educators.
How do we teach your child during ABA therapy?
Our team of professionals, behavior analysts and special educators use positive reinforcement and proven instructional methods to help clients gain a step-by-step mastery of new skills and reducing challenging behaviors. Instructional methods include:
• Natural environment training
• Errorless learning
• Discrete trial teaching
• Direct instruction
• Prompting and prompt-fading
• Fluency training
Our clients see significant improvements in communication, academic, social and life skills.
Can young children benefit from ABA therapy?
ABA therapy can be beneficial for clients of all ages. Studies show children with autism who start intensive, one-to-one ABA therapy between the ages of 2 and 5 experience significant improvements in all areas of functioning. We partner with families to help young children benefit from ABA therapy, whether it is delivered in person or through virtual means. Positive reinforcement keeps our sessions engaging and motivating for our patients.
How is ABA therapy delivered through telehealth?
Virtual ABA therapy is a type of telehealth. Telehealth is a means of delivering health care services, not a separate or distinct health care service. Both legislative and research review have demonstrated that telehealth is a cost effective, efficient and valid delivery model. ABA services can be delivered via telehealth following the same principles and guidelines as in-person care.
Telehealth is defined by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) as the “use of electronic information and telecommunication technologies to support and promote long-distance clinical health care, patient and professional health-related education, public health and health administration” (Health Information Technology, 2017).
What are the benefits of ABA telehealth services?
